About the Streaming Server

Welcome to the UMass Dartmouth Streaming Server Homepage. The Streaming Server is the video server and warehouse for the University's video publishing needs and allows for live video broadcasts of special events such as graduation commencement.

Types of Video Files

The Streaming Server hosts a variety of video formats to ensure compatibility between operating systems, browsers, and plugins.

The three main types of video formats used on the Streaming Server are:

	QuickTime (.mov)
	RealPlayer (.rm)
	Windows Media Player (.wmv)
